Monochrome Monday

I worked with the shot below quite abit. It had several distractions that were removed and I wanted to give this shot a sense of history and age so I made it as stark and grainy as I could. But closing my eyes I can see it brand new and beckoning. Below I have the original photo, shot from a fast moving car.

Below I have the original photo, shot from a fast moving car. You can see I removed the road in front and some trees plus a billboard from the side of the building. I sharpened the photo a lot as I wanted to show the detail of this wonderful old building. As soon as I saw this old church I wanted to see it in black and white.

A to Z Photo Challenge - Z
