Todays Flowers. #46

It's time for Today's flowers today. I have several because I can't seem to stop taking pictures of them and playing with some on picnik. Please click on the photo above to see the other entries or to play along.

My coneflowers are just emerging giving me several different stages of bloom to capture.

In this shot of the lily the color was lovely so I kept the flower color the original and just changed the background to add interest. Then I added a mirror frame. Gave it an interesting look and made the color of the lily just pop.

Another small wildflower growning in the yard.

And my yellow African Daisy's still going strong.

Int the last few shots I played with the curve in picnik, sort of sepia but with some overlying color added back in. A hint of what is to come.

and then pure sepia reaching for the sky.

And last a cone flower almost to fully open stage. Soon to be lovely and inviting to butterfly's and bumblebee's.

Last flower. I got slightly carried away but shot several this week. The smell in my yard from all the flowers is wonderful.

SOOC Sunday

Its straight of the camera Sunday again and Decided this day lily would work perfect because I like it just the way it is. No framing or anything but I will probably stick a frame on it later.

Sepia Scenes, Gramma's Rocker

In my last Sepia Scene I showed a old family photo. Remember I said I still had his grandmothers rocker. Here it is below. It has been reupholstered by my father in law which makes it even more special to me. I have one of his grandfathers rockers also which I refinished and reupholstered. I actually don't like the way the shot turned out but .... I do love the rocker.

Putting out the Fire

Watery Wednesday.

It's watery Wednesday again and while we were downtown I saw this fountain I thought would work well. To play along or see the other entries click here.

Sepia Scenes

I decided to show a old sepia photo also of my husbands grandparents sitting around the parlor. The date would have been the early 1900's. The first is the original scanned photo.

And in this one I cropped the frame off a little and increased the saturation also. We still have the rocker his grandmother is sitting on in the picture. And she probably got it used.
