Sepia Scenes #41
This wonderful old bridge, well maybe not that old, leads to paths unknown. I like this shot in sepia and it turned out well in the original state. The lighting was perfect.

so I am showing it also.

Trucking, before and after
I took this shot awhile back because I liked the way the trucks looked with the clouds as a backdrop. I should have however framed my shot better because I didn't like the yellow pillars in front of it. If it hadn't been for them I would have been happy with the shot.
So I decided to play with the photo. I could get rid of the pillars fairly easy with editing and have one I saved that looks like the photo minus the yellow distractions. But I decided to take it a step further. As a young adult I painted and drew. Some of the new editing programs can give you similar effects. And I like the way it turned out below also. Digital, isn't it grand. Its a whole new media when used this way. It becomes separate art form.

More falls
Yup, still playing with the photos from last week. I have so many hundreds I could put a new one on everyday. There are some I even really like and am proud of but many that the focus didn't come out right or the light. I used my polarized lens because it was a bright day but still the sky looked washed out. Should have used my circular lens. Oh well. Its fun to take them and that's what matters...right!
Some I have been messing with in Picnik and using different layers and techniques. The one below I wanted to make it look softer and more like a painting then a photo. I wish picnik had more variety of frames also. I want more more more, LOL.
I have been practicing slowing down the water flow in the shots to give it a smooth look. I haven't mastered it like Greg but I am getting better. My waterfalls are getting better. Who knows, a few more years.....

Camera Critters. #68

Camera Critters 67
Passing by a field I just had to stop and get some shots of these lovely mares with their colts. Such a pretty site. To see more entries for Camera Critters click here.

Monochrome Monday.
Doing my dog Zoey in black and white really brings out the highlights on her hair and the battle scars out on her nose. I used the infrared setting in Picnik after I made the photo black and white setting. That gave it more detail and a crisp look and took away some of the detail from the back. It did do something weird to her old lady blue eyes but all in all, I like it.

SOOC Sunday
We were driving when I took this shot so it isn't as crisp as if I had stopped but the sky with the wind Turbine looks pretty good anyway. I did put a frame on it but otherwise it is as it came out of the camera. To see more SOOC shots or play along click here.
