Look what I saw on my lilac bush.
In addition to the buds the ditches are running full as the winter melts away.
The old bike buried all winter by snow is mostly uncovered. Now this old bike is not my bike I use. It is from the 60's and I plant flowers around it in the spring. It looks lovely then but it is so our of kilter that it will never hit the trails again.
All the ice on my windmill is gone
And if you look close you can see the drop of melting snow hit the ground.
But some things, even with color added.....remain dead.

Great photos! Isn't it bad for the bike to be outside all the time...especially in the snow?

I have noticed the same buds on my trees in the yard. I guess winter is coming to a close once again. I look forward to the vibrant colors to be found in the spring and the rich greens of summer. I just hope we get some rain this year so everything doesn't dry up like it did last year.

Great pics!!! Great signs of Spring!!!

What a great entry! Love the signs of spring. Though around here, it's supposed to snow/wintery mix again on Tues! Yikes!

I am surprised that anything is budding with all that cold snow and weather still hanging around there. I have noticed the pear tree is budding here and my hydranga bush is budding new leaves which usually means a late frost or cold spell will kill everything. The weather is so fickle. Your pictures are great and you have them framed beautifully. Helen
Poor old bike left out in the snow.....never mind I'm sure your trusty friend will take you to great places for photographingas the warmer weather arrives. Just a little oil here and a little tweak there and a little pat on its derriere. Lol!
I have similar signs of Spring too. I must nip out and catch them for posterity instead of talking about them.
Wonderful photos Julie....heartwarming to think Spring is only a few weeks away now. At long last!

Love the melting snow Pic and all the others are great too!

With the group of photos together it makes for a different look in relationship to one another. The windmill is a great work of art. Have you ever considered primering and colorfully painting it making the leaves look like the are growing and the petals some beautiful pastel? The old wood has a nice shadow appearance instead of direct light. I hope the peach growers don't get frozen out again this year with a late bad freeze after warm weather. mark
You have some pretty cool stuff...Ü
I think we're still gong to get more snow...Ü
