After 9-11 everyone was donating money. This lovely handmade wall art was made by a local artist. It is hard to see in the pictures but she uses real earrings and bows and the material is different silks. I was the high bidder at the auction and it has been on my wall every since. I love the way she did the faces on the women.

What an interesting wall hanging. I can see why you like it so much.
This is an awesome piece of work!
I can tell the bow and earring are real. They really add an extra dimension to the work. I think the slippery silk material would have been difficult to work with. Amazing work!
How lovely! I would treasure it as well. I played at Small Reflections ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
That's cool. I would like it too :)
How very unusual and lucky you to win the bid!
What an unusual piece of art. Yes, the faces do show a lot of expression and character. Amazing how she created that. Thanks for stopping by my RT shot. Hi from rainy California.
It's a beautiful art piece!
Very nice! I love all the little hopefilled butterflies too!
The work of art is amazing. It will be a family heirloom and should be considered a valuable work of art. More wonderful photos of winter beach, buffalo, and flying goose. Poisonous Snakes is a serious sign. I am mainly concerned about brown recluse spiders in my home possibly. I had a benign small lump on my left leg below my knee on the shin removed before knee replacement. It is my thought that a recluse bit me there and I didn't know it and it was killed before it did anymore damage inside a pant leg. Helen (madcobug) told me about her husband declining to spray insecticide under a home because it would just aggravate the hard to kill spiders that were everywhere. mark/salty
