Even marbles

I have some marbles I have been looking at.  This is a better way to really see them.  This should work OK for Krissy's Photo shoot.

photo shoot #124

This week we have a brand new logo made by Valerie!  To my knowledge, this photo shoot has been the longest running in JLand, hence its new name!  A new name and a new look for a new year!  Thanks to all of you who have played along since this photo shoot's inception (2004), and I hope you continue to get enjoyment for a long time to come!

This week's photo shoot will begin today (on Monday) and be due on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 11 PM EST

Our subject this week is:  a close up (interpret this to be as close as you like)

Very few things escape my camera, LOL.

After looking at this, I wonder where my marbles are!  LOL ... figuratively and literally.  Isn't fun to have fun with the camera and get up close to items.  I think I like the first one the best of the 3.

You must have a very good camera to catch the light like that, so close up. As always, lovely photos.

Julie, I am absolutely captivated by these marbles.  I love everything glass.  What interesting subjects.
Thanks for participating in the photo shoot.  I not only like your composition, but I also love the clarity of your photographs.  You are able to do such a wonderful job.  And I love the rich colors you chose to showcase.  And such a fun subject!  Very well done!

Krissy :)

I was reminiscing with a journal person about my grade school days involving shooting marbles in a circle and knocking them out to win the other boys marbles during recess.  I carried them in a leather pouch on my belt.   I was always facinated by the 'cats eye's',that came in different sizes with the big one's being called 'boulders'.    You captured so much detail with the tiny bubbles that would be difficult to see with the unaided eye.   mark
