The photo below was of my husband's Grandmother. No I didn't take it, LOL. I am guessing from her age in this it was done in the late 1800's or early 1900's. These were her traveling clothes for coming to the United States. I think it is a grand photo.

Hello Julie - Thanks for viewing/reading my journal entry and art-fun work. I paint with my digital brushes in a mannor I would paint in ink on board, so it makes it easy to tranfer technique. I enjoy seeing the expression on your husband's grandmother's face as well as the decor. I read about Manet and Monet painting portraits of their wives (wife) and how just their expression gave the art work it's meaning. I will find it and tell you more of what it said. I have joked about a photo with my grandfather (mother's side) in a car with grandmother and other's looking like a gangster photo. They were the farthest from it with extremely moralistic ethics and community involvement. Grandpa lost the farm during the Great Depression owning only a small amount he could not keep up payment's on. They had to start over. mark
