Monochrome Monday

Below is a shot of the old water pump house at Sioux Falls, The one below it I thought looked great as a black and white drawing. Go to Aileni's Monochrome Monday to play along and see some great black and white shots.

Excellent - and it works well as a line 'drawing'.

I still haven't decided if that's ice, or foam from the rushing water or if somebody "soaped the fountain". That's the kind of thing that can keep you staring at an image for hours. Based on the bare tree, I'd say it was late fall or even early winter... or perhaps early spring. But it doesn't look like the person on the walkway is wearing enough for it to be cold enough for that much ice to form, plus there's no snow on the ground, and surely there'd be a least a little if the weather was cold enough to freeze that much water. SO I'm guessing it's not ice...

See how these images can make you think?

I love this shot. The moving water and buildings make such a great composition and interesting to see the second version.
